The Teenage Years In Swing Mode

Strumming on a dreadnought acoustic guitar is a favored pastime for teenagers. With nothing better to do with an afternoon free from school, a popular songbook and quiet place to practice will bring about hours of pleasure for the teen. Fighting boredom is difficult if they are going through a stage of no particular interest.

A hobby finding venture is sure to ensue as time spent idly is a suffering endured moment by moment. So a positive outlet for self expression is a must. If making music is not their thing, then listening to a favorite rock band or pop group can involve watching them on a graphic lcd. As long as they are keeping their level of interest active they will have an easier time during puberty.

Over the past decade has seen a variety of new cartoon characters like Spongebob Squarepants and Catdog. Japan has come into it's prime with numerous very successful Anime cartoons. These hold favor way passed the teenage years and are fantastic for learning how to relate between the sexes. Older teens move on to erotic comics and tend to keep these to themselves.

Collectibles are fun to buy and can be worth something in later years. Shopping for the latest in mod apparel and getting the hair-do most resembling the hair-don't is all part of learning individualism and standing up for oneself. Acceptance of each other is a start to acceptance of self and of the world.

Teens will take up responsibility when they are encouraged to do so, or when they feel they are ready for it. Learning their own mind from that of their friends may take a little longer to achieve as it is easier to hide behind others or wear a mask that is the same as the people around them. This will have to be initiated by themselves as Independence cannot be forced.

These are challenging times and a lot of patience and understanding is needed to be afforded them if they are to grow. Parents and concerned adults will only help if they learn how to listen and encourage communication. Teens are becoming a ware of self-identity and need to be given a wide area to learn in.

Some of the negative aspects of youth growing up involves depressed feelings. This is when adults and peers need to give the most. A loving word or simple act of kindness can make all the difference to a teen.

Sooner or later the child will emerge as the young adult and life hopefully will be a lot smoother then. After the sometimes tumultuous experiences of the teenage years it is a blessing to see them settle down in whatever way best suits them. Parents can wish them all the best and let them get on with it.

Breaking into Gaming: WoW player earns a summer inside Blizzard's art department (wowinsider)

What _WoW _player wouldn't want to intern for three months inside the hallowed
halls of Blizzard Entertainment? Surely, it's a dream scenario for 3D game
artists trying to wedge a foot in the door of this incredibly competitive
field. For three lucky art students, the scenario became a reality this summer
via Blizzard's first student art contest.

To be clear, this is no mere fan art contest. The student art contest was put
together by Blizzard's University Relations department, challenging aspiring
professionals to come up with 3D artwork that fit into the _Warcraft _universe
while being "wholly new and unlike anything the art team had seen before." The
three artists who best met that challenge would earn a three-month mentorship
at Blizzard by a member of the _WoW _art team, a one-year subscription to
_WoW_, and of course, some delicious _WoW _memorabilia and goodies.
