The Fender Basses Made Music History
In the 1950s, Fender put out the very first mass-produced electric bass guitar that people could purchase to start their music career. Quickly after its release, the Fender Bass Guitar found a place with some of the most talented musicians of the day like William 'Monk' Montgomery, Lionel Hampton and Roy Johnson, who had unique musical visions and skilled players in their bands, taking the Fender electric bass and making it a respectable, important instrument in the musical landscape. Gibson, soon after the Fender Precision Bass became available, created a bass that seemed different, more like a violin, than Fender's. Now, electric instruments were here to stay and possess a vital role in the musical industry as we now know it.
The Fender bass still seems and feels the same, other than a couple modifications. The original electric bass guitar models created by Leo Fender in the 1950's were such fine instruments that they have become classics. Today, those original models, as well as those from the next couple of decades, are in great demand by musicians. Fender experimented with some models that were changed from that basic model, and reviews were unfavorable. This experimenting proved that Fender hit the nail on the head with the original pattern.
In today's market, bass guitars are available in various shapes and building ingredients which leads to the question of which is better. It is simply all about what suits you best. Ebony and alder are exotic woods, but alternative materials along with graphite are rapidly becoming the more popular materials to employ for bass bodies. Like shoes, you will want to try a few basses out to see which sound and tone you like best. Several bass guitar necks have frets and others don't, introducing another judgment to be made. This provides a special effect on the guitar's sound, as a bass missing frets will have the strings vibrate on the wooden neck itself.
Whether you choose wood, graphite, frets, or no frets, bass playing and bass line creation is a fun and crucial element in music that completes the full sound.

Can anyone recommend someone who can repair a vintage (late 1950's/early 1960's) General Motors Frigidaire?
It has previously had a new compressor fitted, so is not in entirely original condition. I got up one morning and it had simply stopped working. I'm desperate! I'm in Deptford, London.

What exactly is this to do with business and finance ?
