Network Marketing Online - Why Network Marketing Gets a Bad Rep
Network marketing has been a huge industry for years, dating back to the early 1900's and booming in the 1950's with the start of companies like Amway and Vivianne. At the time, door-to-door sales were hugely popular, as evidenced by characters in TV shows like Andy Griffith and other popular programs of the day. Network marketing was simply a way of life, and in smaller communities, it was a good way for big companies to spread the word about their products.
Fast forward several decades, and now network marketing online has become a dirty word. To utter in public that you are a part of a network marketing company is akin to committing social suicide. The industry has been looked down upon for years, and those who aren't succeeding in a network marketing opportunity tend to feel that the whole thing is a scam. The consistent legal battles of the major network marketing companies certainly don't help.

But why does network marketing online have such a bad stigma? What is it that makes people detest the industry so much? It's really a series of factors that, when combined, create a negative stereotype that's tough to break.

They simply don't realize that it will be a lot of work until real income starts flowing.
These people get caught up in the business, and when they tap out their warm markets and become frustrated with the opportunity, they get desperate. They start over-selling their products, making promises that they can't keep. They perpetuate a cycle of, "it's easy, just do it!" and attract even more people who are purely interested in easy financial rewards. The cycle continues, and out of the millions of network marketers in the world, many become frustrated with their expectations and the hardships of the job.
The Truth About Network Marketing Online
The truth about network marketing is that the business model is sound. It makes a lot of sense for those who are right for the job. But the issue is the learning curve.
Before joining an opportunity that sounds amazing, be sure to take the time to build your business skillset and apply the proper techniques in network marketing. It's very possible to find success in this industry, but not without a little help from those who have experienced the ups and downs in the past.
